Girls Rule! Sexism, Strength, and Intelligence
In my study, I wished to learn whether young girls accepted girl power's basic position that girls are physically and intellectually strong—even boys' superiors. Chapter Six explores how preadolescent girls drew upon "girls rule" discourse in their understandings of girls' and boys' comparative strengths, both physical and intellectual, and displays of sexism against girls.
